Wash. state father, son busted for pot

A Washington father and son face charges of possession and distribution of marijuana after 7 pounds of pot were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Grants Pass.

Christian James White, 21, the driver, and his father, Tucker W. White, 48, both of Ellensburg, Wash., were arrested Jan. 19 when an Oregon State Police trooper stopped their Ford Crown Victoria that morning at F and Mill streets. OSP Lt. Kelly Collins declined to say why the trooper decided to stop the car, saying the investigation is ongoing.

After searching the car, troopers discovered nearly 7 pounds of marijuana concealed in the trunk. OSP's Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation, according to a press release.

Estimated value of the seized marijuana is more than $16,000, the press release said.

Both men were cited to appear in Josephine County Circuit Court for possession of marijuana and distribution of marijuana.
