Northbound Interstate 5 traffic slowed to a crawl Wednesday morning because of at least two vehicle crashes within about a mile of each other.
All lanes have since reopened, but transportation officials said motorists will continue to see congestion.
Information from emergency dispatch logs and Oregon Department of Transportation cameras showed the crashes occurred near exit 27 in the northbound lanes, near the Barnett Road overpass, with another one just up the freeway at milepost 28. Jackson County District No. 5 and Medford Fire-Rescue responded to both crashes. The crashes occurred at about 6:25 a.m. and 6:46 a.m, dispatch records show.
Information about injuries and what caused the accidents was not immediately available. This story will be updated.
