Saturday night’s six -vehicle crash that clogged north-bound lanes on the Medford viaduct, sent eight people to the hospital and backed up freeway traffic for several hours.
A vehicle in the right hand lane had stopped, causing four vehicles to slow behind it. A semi-truck, trailing the other vehicles failed to slow and crashed into the other vehicles, including one with two children.
State police cited Javier Navarro Garcia, 54, of Salem. He was also placed out of service for 10 hours for not using an electronic logging device.
State police said Sunday they had no information on the degree of injuries to the other 11 drivers and passengers involved in the crash.
