A woman who took her two dogs for a walk this morning near Rogue River was found before the sun went down.
After an afternoon of searching, 62-year-old Rosie Spears and her two dogs were found safe roughly three miles from the 4500 block of East Evans Creek Road, where she was visiting relatives who reported her missing this morning, according to an updated release issued by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
Family told police that Spiers was not familiar with the area.
A local familiar with the area helped a Search and Rescue team find Spiers at 5:40 p.m., according to the sheriff's office. She and the dogs were not injured.
She'd reportedly left the relative’s home about 11:15 p.m., and was last spotted about an hour later near Forest Hills Drive.
