Police seek man who fled from traffic stop

The Oregon State Police is seeking the public's help finding a man who fled a traffic stop on foot near Ashland where 11 pounds of hallucinogenic mushrooms were later found in his car.

The man fled last Thursday evening when an OSP trooper pulled over a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner belonging to 37-year-old Jeffrey Aaron Marsh, of Carmel, Calif. During the stop, Marsh sped away a short distance in his car before fleeing on foot near milepost 11 along Interstate 5, OSP officials said.

After the OSP trooper obtained a search warrant on the vehicle a little more than 11 pounds of Psilocybin mushrooms were found inside.

The typical price for an ounce of dried Psilocybin mushrooms can range from as little as $70 to $400 depending on the quality of the product, as well as their availability in the area, OSP officials said. Marsh is described as white male, 5'10", approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding Marsh's whereabouts is asked to contact the OSP Southern Command Center dispatch at 776-6111.
