Police seek help in search for felon

Local police and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are looking for Destiny Dawn Thiessen, 32, and are asking for your help.

Thiessen's criminal history starts in 2004 with arrests in Jackson and Josephine counties and Crescent City, Calif. She was arrested and convicted of possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture a controlled substance in Josephine County in 2004 and violated her probation in 2004 and in 2005.

Because she has again violated the terms of her probation, a felony warrant, held by the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, was issued on July 23 with a bail of $15,000.

Thiessen is described as a white female adult, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a large burn scar on her neck and chest, scars on her left and right thighs and pierced ears. The picture shown here, taken on Feb. 2, 2006, is the most recent image available.

Law enforcement believes that Thiessen is living in the Medford area. If you have seen her, or have information of her whereabouts, please contact your local police department or Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 800-3-DETECT (800-333-8328) and refer to case No. MT-341.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in these cases or any unsolved criminal activity. Callers can remain anonymous. The reward is sponsored by Sonitrol of Eugene.
