JACNET seizes 32 marijuana plants

JACKSONVILLE — A Jacksonville man faces felony drug charges after he was arrested Thursday with 32 marijuana plants inside his home, police said.

Michael Fader Kahn, 66, was arrested by Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team officers and agents from the Medford Drug Enforcement Agency office and charged with possession, manufacture and delivery of marijuana. He was cited by police and released on his own recognizance.

"We do believe Kahn was selling the marijuana out of his home," Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters said. "This was a good bust for JACNET and we plan on make more marijuana- related arrests as the harvesting season approaches."

Investigators found 32 marijuana plants inside Kahn's home in the 1300 block of China Gulch Road. Each plant had the potential to produce a minimum of one pound of usable marijuana. In addition, police seized one pound of processed and packaged marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials and $3,200, believed to be the profit of drug sales.
