Investigators get more on Tolo Tavern suspect

After interviewing witnesses, investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department have developed more information about the man who robbed the Tolo Tavern outside Central Point Sunday evening, then fled in a white Ford pickup.

The armed robbery was reported at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, sheriff's spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said. A white man in his 20s wearing blue jeans and a black coat with hood came into the rural bar with a 12-gauge shotgun and demanded money.

He was described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build.

The robber left in a 1980s white Ford pickup, possibly an F150, with a thin blue pinstripe.

The spare tire is visible from the back of the truck, which was driven by another man, Carlson said.

A police dog searched the area and investigators checked several trucks, but the suspect wasn't found on Sunday.

Investigators ask anyone with information possibly linked with this case to call the Sheriff's Department Tip Line at 541-774-8333.
