Fundraiser underway for Medford family displaced by fire

A fundraiser is underway for a family of six who lost their home in a fire last week.

Kaitlin Kinney, who sells LulaRoe women's clothing, will donate profits from purchases made online at between March 1 and 5. Profits from purchases made at her home, 1594 Velia St., Medford, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 4, will also be donated, according to a news release.

The company's corporate office will match donations.

The fire destroyed a home in the 3700 block of Crater Lake Avenue early Tuesday, Feb. 20. Six residents were displaced, with one treated for smoke inhalation, though no serious injuries were reported. An investigation showed the fire was accidental, sparked by some kind of malfunction involving a clothes dryer.
