Felony arrests

Drugs — Luis Ruiz Valdez, 54, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Valdez Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of reckless burning, interfering with police and tampering with evidence. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday on $22,500 bail.

Assault — Amy Christabelle Stice, 48, of the 800 block of Swing Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Stice Thursday on two felony counts of third-degree assault. She was held in jail Thursday on $15,000 bail.

Sex Offender — John Daniel Maham, 45, no known address. Medford police arrested Maham Thursday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was held in jail Thursday on $10,000 bail.

Drugs — Yukon Jerek Smith, 40, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor count of second-degree trespassing and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior meth possession conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Sheila Renee Leffler, 40, of the 8600 block of Ramsey Road, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Leffler Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior meth possession charge. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Rachel Barker Hahn, 50, no known address. Medford police arrested Hahn Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing oxycodone and possessing meth. She was held in jail Thursday on $20,000 bail.

Burglary — Brittany Bo Meyer, 32, of the 1200 block of Grays Creek Road, Grants Pass. On Thursday, Meyer made an appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and on misdemeanor charges of possessing methamphetamine and first-degree trespassing. She was held in jail Thursday without bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 2100 block of Hill Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen mail at 5:34 a.m. Thursday.

Vandalism — 1300 block of Stewart Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a bathroom door lock at 7:00 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $600.

Burglary — 2600 block of Dellwood Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary at 9:35 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a DeWalt compound miter saw and a two-piece luggage set. The loss was valued at $450.

Burglary — 1700 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary at 9:43 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included tools in a toolbox, two DeWalt drills and two Porter Cable drills, two table saws, an air compressor, Stihl chainsaw, Porter Cable saw pack, and Ryobi string trimmer. The loss was valued at $1,665.

Theft — 1400 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen red Wind Runner electric bike at 11:19 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $2,199.

Vandalism — 800 block of Bennett Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle’s tires at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $100.
