Felony arrests

Assault — Cody Allen Gentle, 28, of the 2000 block of Brookhurst Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Rydell Tuesday on felony charges of fourth-degree assault witnessed by a minor and strangulation, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and strangulation. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $25,000 bail.

Burglary — Patrick O’Brien Kelley, 31, of the 500 block of Ball Road, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Kelley Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft. He remained held in the jail Wednesday on $10,000 bail.

Weapon — Christian Jonathan Torres, 21, of the 1800 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Torres Tuesday on a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm and for violating his parole on a prior attempted second-degree assault conviction. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Drugs — Jeremy Bryan McElmurry, 42, no known address. Medford police arrested McElmurry Wednesday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin and delivering marijuana, and on a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully possessing marijuana. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $32,500 bail.

Hit-and-Run — Esther Valadez-Florez, 49, of Klamath Falls. On Wednesday, Valadez-Florez made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of hit-and-run to an injured person and on a misdemeanor charge of hit-and-run property damage. She was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

Sex Offender — Brandon Lakale Lewis, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Lewis Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with failing to register his address as a sex offender, a misdemeanor charge of providing false information to police, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday, and for violating his parole on a prior attempted first-degree sodomy conviction. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Suspended Driving — Ethan Taylor Sartin, 26, of the 1000 block of Edwina Avenue, Central Point. Medford police arrested Sartin Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with driving while suspended. He was held in jail Wednesday on $10,000 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 3100 block of Forest Hills Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:43 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a pink, purple and black tribal print backpack, a post office ID badge and prescription medication. The loss was valued at $60.

Theft — First Block of West Jackson Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft and vandalism at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. An unknown amount of fuel was reported siphoned from four vehicles and one vehicle’s battery will no longer hold a charge after the car alarm went off. The loss and damage was valued at $50.
