Felony arrests

Contraband — Carl Daniel Enloe, 39, of the 2600 block of Kerrisdale Ridge Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Enloe Wednesday on an additional felony charge of supplying contraband. Jackson County Community Justice probation officers originally arrested Enloe Sept. 5 for violating his parole on a prior contraband conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday without bail.

Drugs — Gary Nicholas Baida, 53, of Cave Junction. On Wednesday, Baida made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Sex Abuse — Roman Scott Lacey Sr., 45, no known address. Central Point police arrested Lacey Wednesday on felony charges of first- and second-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $257,500 bail.

Strangulation — Norman Craig Preacher, 63, of the 2400 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Preacher Wednesday on felony counts of strangulation and coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of harassment, interfering with someone making a police report and on a contempt charge for violating a restraining order. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $27,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 1100 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 4:28 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a tattoo gun and ink, a yellow DeWalt grease gun and a Sentry safe containing personal documents. The loss was valued at $1,300.

Theft — 1100 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included three blue Makita impact drills and four battery packs, two red drill bit sets, a socket set stored in the bed of the truck and a red gas can filled with water. The loss and damage to a pickup bed toolbox was valued at $900.

Theft — 300 block of Manzanita Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen mail and diabetic supplies at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $200.

Theft — 3500 block of Cherry Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a Coach purse and a brown European brand cross-body purse. The loss was valued at $285.
