Felony arrests

Drugs — Brenden Michael Wion, 29, of the 600 block of Catherine Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Wion Tuesday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on prior charges of possessing heroin and reckless driving. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $15,000 bail.

Burglary — Daniel James Burda, 36, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Burda Tuesday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of first-degree trespassing. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $25,000 bail.

Drugs — Tania Marie Boyd, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Boyd Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear in court on prior second- and third-degree theft charges and for failing to report to jail on prior first-degree burglary convictions. She remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

ID theft — Joshua Callaghan Pecktol, 27, no known address. Medford police arrested Pecktol Tuesday on two felony counts of identity theft, two misdemeanor counts of third-degree theft, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of delivering and possessing heroin and first-degree child neglect. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $30,000 bail.

Burglary — Michael Spencer Matthews, 29, of the 300 block of South Ivy Street, Medford. Ashland police arrested Matthews Wednesday on additional felony charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and mail theft, and on additional misdemeanor charges of third-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and unlawfully entering a motor vehicle. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies originally arrested Matthews Sept. 19 on a felony count of attempt to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor counts of attempt to elude police on foot, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person and violating his probation on prior fourth-degree assault and coercion convictions. He remained in jail Wednesday on $147,500 bail.

Drugs — John Earl Gray, 35, of the first block of North Orange Street, Medford. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Gray Tuesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing methamphetamine, possessing heroin, and misdemeanor counts of interfering with police and resisting arrest. He was held in jail Wednesday on $100,000 bail.

Sex Offender — Timothy Edward James Sortor, 27, no known address. Medford police arrested Sortor Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with failing to register his address as a sex offender and on misdemeanor charges of concealed possession of a knife and felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was held in jail Wednesday on $12,500 bail.

Coercion — Kevin Shaune Gilmore, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Gilmore Wednesday on a felony charge of coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of violating a no-contact order, fourth-degree assault, harassment and strangulation. He was held in jail Wednesday on $50,000 bail.

Drugs — Steven Daniel Hellervik, 35, no known address. Medford police arrested Hellervik Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of possessing heroin and on warrants for violating his probation on a prior second-degree burglary and meth-possession convictions. He was held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Assault — Toshia Nicole Dietrich, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Dietrich Wednesday on felony charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, and on a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. She was held in jail Wednesday on $112,500 bail.

Burglary — Steven Roger Ward Jr., 28, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Ward Wednesday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary. He was held in jail Wednesday on $20,000 bail.

ID theft — Ronnie Darrell Mays, 21, no known address. Medford police arrested Mays Wednesday on felony charges of identity theft and mail theft. He was held in jail Wednesday on $15,000 bail.

ID Theft — Carrie L. Parren, 39, of the 600 block of North Third Street, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Parren Wednesday on felony charges of identity theft, first-degree theft, first-degree forgery and mail theft. She was held in jail Wednesday on $82,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 1100 block of Skyline Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of lost property at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported missing included a Toyota car key, a home key, a brown bi-fold wallet and two bank cards. The loss was valued at $282.

Theft — 2200 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included GoPros, cameras, stabilizers and lenses. The loss was valued at $10,000.

Vandalism — 1100 block of Court Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to front and rear license plates at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday. The damage was valued at $112.

Theft — 500 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen shopping cart at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. The loss was valued at $200.

Vandalism — 100 block of South Bartlett Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a license plate and frame at 12:11 p.m. Tuesday. The damage was valued at $30.

Theft — 2100 block of West Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday. A blue phone in a black case was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $700.

Theft — 3000 block of Samike Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen RV battery at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $180.
