Felony arrests

Drugs — Tyler Allen Zavada, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Zavada Friday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with police and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of possessing methamphetamine.

Drugs — Tyler John Chicano, 25, of the 500 block of Midway Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Chicano Friday on a felony controlled substance offense involving prescription law, and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree theft conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday without bail.

Weapon — David Harris Pock, 38, of the 7200 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Pock Saturday on a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm, a misdemeanor charge of concealed possession of a firearm and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior elude conviction. He remained held in jail Saturday without bail.

Aggravated ID Theft — Robert Michael Walker, 35, of the 800 block of West Second Street, Butte Falls. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Walker Saturday on felony charges of aggravated identity theft, identity theft, first-degree theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and for violating his parole on a felon in possession of a firearm conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.

Drugs — Benjamin Joseph Strusz, 33, of the 9400 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medfor police arrested Strusz Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of possessing heroin residue and unlawfully entering a motor vehicle, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior heroin possession conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Randy James Cope, 40, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Cope Saturday on a felony warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor warrants charging him with second-degree theft and second-degree forgery. He was held in jail Saturday on $42,500 bail.

Assault — Jeremy Leeroy Connelly, 39, no known address. Medford police arrested Connelly Saturday on felony charges of fourth-degree assault and possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault, harassment and violating a restraining order. He was held in jail Saturday on $32,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 1300 block of Hillcourt Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:43 a.m. Friday. A black rectangular wallet containing food stamp coupons was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $20.

Theft — 1100 block of West 11th Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 8:58 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included the vehicle’s title, insurance card and registration. The loss and damage to the vehicle’s door was valued at $300.

Theft — 2100 block of Duncan Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen campaign sign at 9:51 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $5.

Theft — 200 block of DeBarr Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen bicycle at 2:41 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $130.

Theft — 100 block of South Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a light blue Magna bike at 3:26 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $120.

Theft — 800 block of Cardley Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:28 p.m. Friday. The vehicle’s coin organizer was reported stolen, and the loss was valued at $10.

Theft — 900 block of Kenyon Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen red Bridgestone BB-1 bicycle at 7:54 a.m. Saturday. The loss was valued at $400.

Theft — 2200 block of Tower East, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a wooden door and lock at 8:52 a.m. Saturday. The damage was valued at $500.

Theft — 500 block of Highland Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen silver iPhone 6 at 11:54 a.m. Saturday. The loss was valued at $200.
