Felony arrests

Drugs — Michael Ross Pearce, 34, of the 100 block of Clover Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Pearce Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, on a misdemeanor warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a previous second-degree theft charge and on warrants for violating his probation on previous charges of identity theft and possessing heroin and methamphetamine. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday without bail.

Drugs — Bret Scott Walker, 47, of the first block of Brophy Way, Shady Cove. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Walker Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail Friday and released as of Saturday.

Theft — Katrina Faye Odom, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Odom Friday on a felony warrant charging her with first-degree theft, and a misdemeanor warrant charging her with possessing heroin. She was booked in the jail Friday and released as of Saturday.

Kidnapping — Jonathan Mancilla-Valdovinos, 23, of the 1500 block of Antioch Road, White City. Medford police arrested Mancilla-Valdovinos Friday on felony warrants charging him with second-degree kidnapping and five counts of coercion, and on two misdemeanor warrants charging him with menacing. He remained held in jail Saturday on $50,000 bail.

Drugs — Kyle James Ludlow, 30, of the 1800 block of Hybiscus Street, Medford. On Friday, Ludlow made an appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of delivering an possessing heroin, and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Weapon Use — Samantha Strugeon, 38, of the 400 block of South First Street, Central Point. On Friday, Sturgeon made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon and two misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Solomon BenCaleb Swegar, 28, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Swegar Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail Friday and released as of Saturday.


Crime reports

Vandalism/Theft — 200 block of Oak Grove Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft and vandalism at 6:56 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a DVD player, bags, a flashlight and toiletries. The loss and damage to a vehicle rear window was valued at $700.

Theft — 1300 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a black Apple Watch Series 3 and a pink Apple Watch Series 1. The loss was valued at $400.

Theft — 100 block of Tripp Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen FedEx package at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday. A computer fan valued at $36 was reported stolen.

Theft — 1500 block of Stratford Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen black Fender guitar amplifier at 6:59 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $500.

Theft — 900 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen gray Fuji men’s bike at 7:40 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $500.

Theft — 2000 block of Hibiscus Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:59 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Nikon DSLR camera, camouflage backpack, tools, a leather tri-fold wallet and bank cards. The loss was valued at $1,035.

Theft — 2800 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen silver iPad and Logitech keyboard case at 12:23 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $420.

Theft — 3400 block of Shelby Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen black Glock 17 and a fanny pack with three badges at 2:51 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $600.
