Felony arrests

Strangulation — Owen Mroz, 19, of the 700 block of Brandy Way, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Mroz Wednesday on felony charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, and on misdemeanor charges of third-degree criminal mischief and harassment. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday on $25,000 bail.

Kidnapping — Husvaldo Bautista-Arroyo, 36, of the 5700 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Bautista-Aroyo Wednesday on felony warrants charging him with second-degree kidnapping, coercion and fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, and on a misdemeanor warrant charging him with harassment. He was booked in the jail Wednesday and released Thursday after posting bail.

Drugs — Christopher James O’Connell, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested O’Connell Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, and for violating his parole on a prior heroin possession conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Kaiden Alexander Haight, 23, of the 2800 block of Rogue River Highway, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Haight Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor warrant for possessing heroin and for violating his parole on a prior third-degree robbery conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

ID Theft — Blake Kenneth Steger, 28, of the 500 block of Brittni Lane, Central Point. On Thursday, Steger made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of identity theft, first-degree forgery and first-degree possessing a forged instrument, and on two misdemeanor counts of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Coercion — Oscar Enrique Escot, 28, of the 200 block of Talent Avenue, Talent. On Thursday, Escot made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of coercion. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

ID Theft — Jessica Leigh Moody, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Moody Thursday on five felony warrants charging her with identity theft, and on a misdemeanor warrant charging her with second-degree theft. She was held in jail Thursday on $35,000 bail.

Drugs — Eric Thomas Stoll, 26, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Stoll Thursday on felony charges of manufacturing and delivering heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, manufacturing, delivering and possessing meth, heroin and cocaine, possessing a marijuana item and for violating his parole on a prior meth delivery conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Aggravated Theft — Shane Earl Swick, 41, no known address. Medford police arrested Swick Thursday on felony charges of aggravated first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, identity theft and first-degree forgery. He was held in jail Thursday on $47,500 bail.

Drugs — Jonathon Andres Collins, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Collins Thursday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin, and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree theft conviction. He was held in jail Thursday on $25,000 bail.
