Felony arrests

Burglary — Daryl Lee Melfi, 47, no known address. Rogue River police arrested Melfi Friday on additional felony charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree theft, and on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief. Talent police originally arrested Melfi Thursday on a felony charge of unlawfully possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of providing false information to police, failing to display an operators license and for violating his parole on a prior identity theft conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Sex Offender — Tony S. Rueth, 35, no known address. Medford police arrested Rueth Thursday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of failing to register his address as a sex offender and possessing methamphetamine. He remained held in jail Friday on $22,500 bail.

Drugs — Ramon Julian Acosta, 33, of Fresno, California. Medford police arrested Acosta Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine, manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, delivering and possessing cocaine, felon in possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of concealed possession of a firearm. He was held in jail Friday on $500,000 bail.

Escape — Elizabeth Jeanet Vega, 32, of the 200 block of Lozier Lane, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Vega Friday on felony charges of second-degree escape and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer, and for violating his parole on a prior methamphetamine delivery conviction.

Weapon Use — Jeremiah Clarence Swing, 27, of the 15600 block of Highway 62, Eagle Point. On Friday, Swing made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of menacing. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Attempted Assault — Stephen Marshall Patterson, 53, of the 900 block of Second Avenue, Gold Hill. On Friday, Patterson made his initial court appearance on felony charges of attempted second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing and resisting arrest. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Sex Offender — Adam Glenn Beacham, 34, of the 1900 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. On Friday, Beacham made his initial appearance on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

ID Theft — Diana Quezeda, 21, of the 1100 block of Niantic Street, Medford. On Friday, Quezeda made her initial court appearance on two felony counts of identity theft. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Dylan Keith Hewlett, 27, of the 2000 block of Lampman Road, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hewlett Friday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and for violating his parole on a first-degree theft conviction.

ID Theft — Samantha Jo Hill, 21, of the 100 block of Fifth Avenue, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hill Friday on a felony charge of identity theft, and on misdemeanor charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft. She was held in jail Friday without bail.

Burglary — Mona Gaye Centorani, 50, no known address. Ashland police arrested Centorani Friday on a felony charge of second-degree burglary and on misdemeanor charges of theft of services and third-degree criminal mischief. She was held in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Jeremy Ryan Giblin, 24, of Vero Beach, Florida. Medford police arrested Giblin Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. He was held in jail Friday without bail.
