Felony arrests

Vehicle Theft — Jose Samuel Ramos-Vance, 20, of the first block of South Orange Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Ramos-Vance Thursday on an additional felony warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on additional misdemeanor warrants charging him with hit-and-run and driving while suspended. Medford police originally arrested Ramos-Vance Wednesday on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of delivering, manufacturing and possessing heroin, second-degree trespassing, interfering with police, unauthorized departure and for violating his probation on a first-degree burglary conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — John Thomas Haynes, 60, no known address. Medford police arrested Haynes Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, on a warrant for violating his probation on a prior misdemeanor meth-possession conviction and for violating his parole on a second-degree robbery conviction. He remained held in jail Thursday without bail.

Drugs — Raymond Lloyd Young, 35, no known address. Medford police arrested Young Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He remained held in jail Thursday without bail.

Contraband — Adam Dennis Messer, 32, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Messer Thursday on a felony charge of supplying contraband, a felony warrant charging him with unlawfully delivering and possessing a marijuana extract, and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing. He was held in jail Thursday on $15,000 bail.

Drugs — William Joseph Paris Shepard, 30, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Shepard Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his parole on a previous heroin-possession conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Suspended Driving — Loria Elease Charlton, 55, of the 700 block of East Gregory Road, Central Point. On Thursday, Charlton made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of driving while suspended or revoked, and on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Kiran Marshall Hughes, 20, of the 600 block of Tina Way, Grants Pass. On Thursday, Hughes made his initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Money Laundering — Thomas Lawrence Gullock, 54, of the 3000 block of Via Verde Circle, White City. On Thursday, Gullock made a court appearance on a felony charge of laundering a monetary instrument. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Aggravated ID Theft — Samantha A. Horton, 25, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Horton Thursday on felony warrants charging her with aggravated identity theft, first-degree criminal mistreatment and first-degree theft, and on misdemeanor warrants charging her with third-degree criminal mischief and failing to appear in court on a charge of second-degree theft. She was held in jail Thursday on $15,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — First block of South Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 7:47 a.m. Wednesday. A handicapped parking permit was reported stolen, and vehicle side window was reported broken. The loss and damage to the vehicle was valued at $320.

Theft — 1400 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included an Apple MacBook Pro, an iPad Pro, an Apple Watch, among other items. The loss was valued at $4,179.

Theft — 1500 block of South Ivy Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:41 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Fujifilm digital camera, and a diaper bag. The loss was valued at $960.

Theft — 2600 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 12:20 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a sound bar, a woofer speaker and a front speaker. The loss was valued at $500.
