Felony arrests

Drugs — Christopher Lewis Conner, 35, of the 2500 block of Happy Valley Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Conner Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior felon in possession of a restricted weapon conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail.

Driving While Suspended — Miguel Angel Lomas Jr., 36, of the 600 block of South Columbus Avenue, Medford. On Thursday, Lomas made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of driving while suspended or revoked. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Hindering Prosecution — Brenda Marie Peterson, 53, of the 22000 block of Highway 62, Shady Cove. On Thursday, Peterson made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of hindering prosecution. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance.

Burglary — Justine Priscilla Marie Gonzales, 26, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Gonzales Thursday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and for violating her parole on a prior heroin possession conviction. She was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Check Fraud — Laura Marie Miller, 48, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Miller Thursday on a felony charge of negotiating a bad check and first-degree theft. She was held in jail Thursday on $20,000 bail.

Forgery — James Orion Dutton, 19, no known address. Ashland police arrested Dutton Thursday on felony charges of first-degree forgery, identity theft and first-degree burglary, and on misdemeanor charges of second-degree theft, attempted first-degree theft and attempted second-degree theft. He was held in jail Thursday on $47,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 1600 block of Springbrook Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen bike with green frame and wide sand tire rims at 7:27 a.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $500.

Theft — 300 block of Howard Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:55 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a document holder containing work contracts and timecards, sets of keys, Dutch Bros stamp cards, pens and pencils. The loss was valued at $15.

Burglary — 1400 block of Yellowstone Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included transformers and switches for Lionel trains. The loss and damage to an automatic garage door was valued at $1,800.

Theft — 100 block of Vancouver Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 2:39 p.m. Wednesday. A Yamaha outboard motor was reported stolen and a chain link fence was reported vandalized. The loss and damage to the fence was valued at $1,800.

Burglary — 2200 block of Capital Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a set of diamond stud earrings, a set of diamond stud cluster earrings, a dark gray HP laptop, a black Nikon CoolPix camera, a black Bersa Thunder 380 handgun and a digital picture frame. The loss was valued at $4,469.

Theft — 300 block of Hillhouse Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:42 a.m. Thursday. A 20-inch Stihl chainsaw with a black star on its air filter cover was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $350.

Lost Firearm — first block of Corning Court, Medford. Medford police took a repor to a lost Kimber Micro .380 with rosewood grips at 10:40 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $800.
