Felony arrests

Vehicle Theft — Elizabeth Jeanet Vega, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Vega Friday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempting to elude police in a vehicle. Medford police originally arrested Vega Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charge of providing false information to police and for violating her parole on a prior identity theft conviction. She remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Elude — Anthony Michael Kloosterman, 27, of the 500 block of Monroe Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Kloosterman Thursday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, reckless driving and interfering with police, on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior driving while suspended charge and for violating his parole on a prior attempt to elude police in a vehicle conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Robbery — Orlando Hugh Rickman, 27, of Washington, D.C. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rickman Thursday on two felony counts of second-degree robbery. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $500,000 bail.

Robbery — Jelani Amaan Johnson, 27, of Washington, D.C. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Johnson Thursday on a two felony counts of second-degree robbery. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $500,000 bail.

Rape — Darian Red Thompson, 23, of the 800 block of Cedar Street, Medford. Central Point police arrested Thompson Friday on felony counts of first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and first-degree sexual abuse, and on a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was lodged in jail Friday on $755,000 bail.

Strangulation — Brian Casey Storrer, 32, of the 5000 block of Butte Falls Highway, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Storrer Friday on a felony charge of strangulation consisting of domestic violence, on felony warrants charging him with first-degree burglary, coercion and felon in possession of a firearm, and on misdemeanor warrants charging him with first-degree trespassing, menacing, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, recklessly endangering and initiating a false report. He was lodged in jail Friday on $60,000 bail.

Drugs — Kevin Walker Maple, 34, no known address. Phoenix police arrested Maple Friday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and for violating his parole on a prior assault on a police officer conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Elude — Lon Burtis Delaney, 59, of the first block of Quail Run Drive, Shady Cove. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Delaney Friday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Elude — Donald Dean Leiter, 44, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Leiter Friday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of attempting to elude police on foot and reckless driving, and on misdemeanor charges of failing to appear in court on previous charges of first- and second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, first-degree forgery, possessing methamphetamine and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail Friday on $60,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 700 block of Marshall Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:06 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included Oakley prescription sunglasses, a black Nike backpack, prescription medication, phone chargers and vehicle registration paperwork. The loss was valued at $806.

Theft — 1900 block of Patrick Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 11:49 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a diamond earring set, diamond necklace, gold bracelet, black jacket in womens size medium and multiple pairs of sunglasses. The loss was valued at $930.

Vandalism — 1200 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to multiple business mailboxes at 12:51 p.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $500.
