Felony arrests

Witness Tampering — Kenneth James Hawk, 36, of the 400 block of Highland Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Hawk Thursday on an additional felony charge of tampering with a witness and 20 additional misdemeanor counts of violating a no-contact order. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies originally arrested Hawk May 17 on a misdemeanor contempt of court charge and misdemeanor warrants of failing to appear in court on previous charges of strangulation, fourth-degree assault, harassment and violating a no-contact order. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $315,000 bail.

Elude — Jonathan Raymond Pool, 39, of the 6000 block of Highway 140, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Pool Thursday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of attempting to elude police on foot, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Faron John Mello, 36, of the 2800 block of Howard Avenue, Medford. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Mello Friday on felony charges of manufacturing and delivering heroin within 1,000 feet of a school, manufacturing and delivering cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, and possessing methamphetamine and cocaine. He was lodged in jail Friday on $97,500 bail.

Theft — Cameron Dale Bartley, 21, of the 4600 block of Eagle Trace Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Bartley Friday on two felony counts of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail Friday on $17,500 bail.

Crime report

Theft — 400 block of Earhart Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 3:36 p.m. Thursday. Art supplies valued at $280 were reported stolen.

Theft — 1500 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen dog at 4:13 p.m. Thursday. The animal was described as a light tan long-haired breed with a brown spot on its left eye. The loss was valued at $200.

Theft — 700 block of Bennett Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen guns at 4:42 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $200.

Theft — 2400 block of Maple Park Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Craftsman lawnmower at 6:27 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $300.

Theft — 4100 block of Hemlock Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:24 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a 10-inch subwoofer and 200-watt car amplifier. The loss was valued at $200.

Vandalism — 1700 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a two-pane sliding glass door at 9:03 a.m. Friday. The damage was valued at $500.

Theft — 2600 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a lost gold ring with three diamonds totaling 1 carat at 12:12 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $6,000.
