Felony arrests

Criminal Mistreatment — Christopher Viescas, 41, of the 800 block of Ivern Drive, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Viescas Friday on felony counts of first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault, a felony warrant charging Viescas with first-degree criminal mistreatment, and misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault and strangulation. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $45,000 bail.

Drugs — Brian Antonio Mena, 33, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Mena Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended, driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. He was lodged in jail Friday on $22,500 bail.

Drugs — Steven James Miller, 30, of the 200 block of Taylor Avenue, Talent. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Miller Saturday on felony counts of possessing a Schedule II controlled substance and possessing methamphetamine, and on an out-of-county warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of discarding refuse within 100 yards of state waters. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $17,500 bail.

Drugs — Shanna Marie Stone, 23, of the 2300 block of Gramercy Drive, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Stone Saturday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges of second-degree theft and tampering with evidence. She was lodged in jail Saturday on $23,500 bail.

Drugs — Cody Jay Landis, 38, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Landis Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on an out-of-county warrant charging him with violating his probation on a prior third-degree robbery conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Theft — Robert Lee French, 51, of the 1000 block of South Grape Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested French Saturday on felony warrants charging him with first-degree theft and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Saturday because of overcrowding.

Hindering Prosecution — Adan Valenzuela, 18, of the 3700 block of Falcon Street, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Valenzuela Saturday on a felony charge of hindering prosecution. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $7,500 bail.

Coercion — Jonathan Oliver Baldridge, 36, no known address. Medford police arrested Baldridge Saturday on a felony charge of coercion, misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and harassment and for violating his parole on a prior fourth-degree assault conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1300 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:15 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Nike golf club set with bag, Kirkland Signature toolbox, two small pocket knives and miscellaneous paperwork. The loss was valued at $455.

Theft — 1600 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen gold ring with lozenge-shaped diamond at 10:42 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $5,000.

Theft — 1600 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:53 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Canon battery charger, four pairs of sunglasses and beach towels. The loss and damage to the vehicle was valued at $200.

Theft — 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen duffel bag containing sweatshirts and yoga pants at 8:26 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $700.

Burglary — 2300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 2:52 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included food and wine from the fridge, four costume jewelry rings and prescription medication. The loss was valued at $144.

Vandalism — 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 10:09 a.m. Friday. Damage to the vehicle’s paint reportedly caused by chemical solvent and to the vehicle’s fuel tank was valued at $3,000.

Theft — 200 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen orange GT mountain bike at 6:52 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $300.

Theft — 200 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 3:37 a.m. Saturday. Items reported stolen included a bag of necklaces and bracelets, purple reading glasses and a small purple flashlight. The loss was valued at $320.

Theft — 1000 block of Archer Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen fishing rods, a Mossberg 500 shotgun, Remington .22, ammo, and a Husqvarna backpack blower. The loss was valued at $1,860.
