Felony arrests

Burglary — Velarde Juan Jose Gonzales, 38, of the 3600 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Gonzales Monday on two felony counts of second-degree burglary and two felony counts of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor count of second-degree theft. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Monday and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Sex Offender — Jamie Brooke Bacchilega, 39, of the 800 block of Clay Street, Ashland. On Tuesday, Bacchilega made an appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Matthew Wayne Hanscom, 24, of the 800 block of Northeast D Street, Grants Pass. On Tuesday, Hanscom made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor counts of possessing meth and heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Jonathon Lee Fitzsimmons, 33, of the 600 block of Rogue River Highway, Gold Hill. On Tuesday, Fitzsimmons made his initial court appearance on a felony count of possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Aggravated Harassment — Derrick Nathanial Griffith, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Griffith Tuesday on a felony charge of aggravated harassment, misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and possessing methamphetamine and on out-of-county warrants on previous meth possession charges. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Elude — Zenaido Quinonez-Aispuro, 29, of the 8200 block of 23rd Street, White City. Medford police arrested Quinonez-Aispuro Tuesday on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, driving under the influence of intoxicants, first-degree criminal mischief and driving while suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another person and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1600 block of Whitman Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 6:29 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a mens class ring with the word “Bomber” on it and vehicle registration. The loss was valued at $601.

Theft — 1300 block of Carlson Drive, Medford. Medord police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:14 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included medical supplies such as a tourniquet and leaded glasses for X-ray use, a Gerber knife and audio cables. The loss was valued at $470.

Theft — 500 block of Antilles Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen sandals at 4:31 p.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $50.

Theft — 500 block of Barry Circle, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 5:00 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a rangefinder and a black magnetic bracelet. The loss was valued at $300.

Vandalism — 1900 block of Marsh Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of slashed tires on a vehicle at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday. The loss was valued at $150.

Theft — 1400 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen blue Schwinn cruiser bike with an attached bicycle seat at 8:51 a.m. Tuesday. The loss was valued at $204.
