Felony arrests

Burglary — Terry Everett Clement, 50, of the 1400 block of Appleton Circle, Medford. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Clement Thursday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree theft, misdemeanor charges of second-degree criminal mischief and harassment and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Criminal Mischief — Christopher Timothy Cooper, 32, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Cooper Friday on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief, and misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and second-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail Friday on $25,000 bail.

Drugs — Donald Frederick Taylor, 42, no known address. Medford police arrested Taylor Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor counts of second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Theft — Daniel Edward Smith, 59, of the 1100 block of Morrow Road, Medford. On Friday, Smith made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on five felony counts of first-degree theft and five felony counts of making a false claim for healthcare payment. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Aggravated Theft — Rhonda Jane Capello, 41, of the 1100 block of Morrow Road, Medford. On Friday, Capello made her initial court appearance on eight felony counts of aggravated first-degree theft and eight felony counts of making a false claim for healthcare payment. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Aggravated Theft — Angela Rose Capello, 38, of the 1100 block of Morrow Road, Medford. On Friday, Capello made her initial court appearance on eight felony counts of aggravated first-degree theft, five felony counts of first-degree theft and 13 felony counts of making a false claim for healthcare payment. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Burglary — Hezekia Dillard Wasserstein, 24, no known address. Ashland police arrested Wasserstein Friday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of theft of services. He was lodged in jail Friday on $22,500 bail.

Identity Theft — Nathan Dean May, 37, of the 1200 block of Corona Avenue, Medford. On Friday, May made his initial court appearance on felony counts of identity theft, first-degree possessing a forged instrument, computer crime, mail theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree possessing a forged instrument. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Weapon — Tylor Gene Herndon, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Herndon Friday on a felony charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was lodged in jail Friday on $7,500.

Crime reports

Vandalism — First block of West Eighth Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a front window at 11:31 p.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $1,500.

Theft — 1300 block of South Oakdale Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen guns at 8:32 a.m. Thursday. A case, three magazines and three boxes of ammunition were also reported stolen. The loss was valued at $185.

Theft — 2100 block of Happy Valley Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 10:17 a.m. Friday. A Stihl MS 461 chainsaw was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,900.

Theft — 1100 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 10:37 a.m. Friday. About $3 in loose change was reported stolen.

Theft — 100 block of Rossanley Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Husqvarna gas-powered trimmer at 11:07 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $499.
