Felony arrests

Burglary — Donald Dean Leiter, 44, no known address. Medford police arrested Leiter Friday on additional felony charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree theft, and an additional misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies originally arrested Leiter May 18 on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous counts of first-degree theft, burglary, possessing methamphetamine and attempting to elude police in a vehicle. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $246,000 bail.

Assault — Mark Tyrell Levi Mayse, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Mayse Friday on felony charges of second-degree assault and first-degree burglary, and on an out-of-county warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a previous charge of possessing methamphetamine. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $245,000 bail.

Officer Assault — Victor Martin Vargas, 22, of the 2600 block of Hadley Circle, White City. Medford police arrested Vargas Friday on felony warrants charging him with assaulting a police officer, inmate in possession of a weapon and possessing heroin, a misdemeanor contempt charge, misdemeanor warrants for recklessly endangering another person and failing to appear in court on a prior second-degree theft charge and for violating his probation on prior convictions for delivering and possessing heroin. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $63,000 bail.

Assault — Jeremiah Aaron Yackamouih, 19, of the 7700 block of Ingalls Drive, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Yackamouih Saturday on felony charges of fourth-degree assault on a pregnant victim and strangulation, and misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person, second-degree theft and harassment. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $55,000 bail.

Drugs — John Thomas McCutcheon, 50, no known address. Medford police arrested McCutcheon Saturday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $7,500 bail.

Weapon — Joseph Michael Griffin, 38, of the 500 block of Oak Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Griffin Saturday on a felony charge of possessing a firearm in a public building and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Drugs — Allen Lee Bicknell, 44, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Bicknell Saturday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor warrant charging him with resisting arrest. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $12,500 bail.
