Felony arrests

Assault — Eric Jordan Torres, 18, of the 200 block of Homewood Road, Grants Pass. Medford police arrested Torres Friday on additional felony charges of second-degree assault and attempted second-degree assault. Jackson County Community Justice probation officers originally arrested Torres Wednesday for violating his probation on a prior third-degree assault conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Ronald Glenn Pollock, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Pollock Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, a felony warrant charging him with a separate count of possessing meth and for violating his parole on a prior unauthorized use of a motor vehicle conviction. He remained held in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Maritza Guadalupe Duran-Bencomo, 26, of the 1900 block of Orchard Home Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Duran-Bencomo Friday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of second-degree theft and for violating her parole on a prior second-degree assault conviction. She was held in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Rob Lee Bowman, 60, of the 3000 block of Sheraton Court, Medford. On Friday, Bowman made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Ryan Scott Hamilton, 41, of the 2000 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. On Friday, Hamilton made his initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine and manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Attempted Robbery — Robert Medina Garza Jr., 46, of the 1000 block of Morrison Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Garza Friday on a felony charge of attempted first-degree robbery and a misdemeanor count of menacing. He was held in jail Friday on $15,000 bail.

Drugs — John Earl Gray, 35, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Gray Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was held in jail Friday on $7,500 bail.

Drugs — Dakota Leigh Haight, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Haight Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of third-degree criminal mischief and for violating her parole on a prior meth possession conviction. She was held in jail Friday without bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 6:11 p.m. Thursday. A Stihl backpack blower valued at $500 was reported stolen.

Theft — 600 block of Franquette Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen pills taken from a lockbox at 8:03 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $400.

Theft — 600 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of pick-pocketed medication at 2:31 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $80.

Theft — 1100 block of Mt Pitt Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Ruger semi-automatic pistol with a 16-round magazine at 11:39 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $609.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 1:21 p.m. Friday. Personal items valued at $2,000 were reported stolen.

Vandalism — 200 block of South Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a dented vehicle at 2:57 p.m. Friday. The damage was valued at $300.

Theft — 2700 block of Connell Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 4:53 p.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a blue trailer with a Honda-powered wood cutter, a black Trek mountain bike and a blue Evinrude boat motor. The loss was valued at $1,900.
