Felony arrests

Witness Tampering — Terrence Leighton Cabello, 22, of the 700 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Cabello Thursday on three additional felony counts of tampering with a witness and an additional misdemeanor charge of violating a no-contact order. Medford police originally arrested Cabello Dec. 28 on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, and has also been charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with misdemeanor harassment and methamphetamine possession. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail.

Officer Assault — James Michael Saragoza, 32, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Saragoza Wednesday on a felony charge of assaulting a public safety officer, misdemeanor charges of interfering with police, resisting arrest and possessing methamphetamine, and on a California fugitive warrant. He remained held in jail Thursday without bail.

Contraband — Ryan Michael Barbeau, 37, of the 3100 block of Butte Falls Highway, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police arrested Barbeau Thursday on felony charges of supplying contraband, possessing methamphetamine and delivering methamphetamine, and on a Nevada fugitive warrant. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Theft — Carl Gregory Miller, 32, of the 100 block of Edith Circle, Eagle Point. On Thursday, Miller made an appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree theft and misdemeanor charges of possessing illegally taken antlers and second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Juan Manuel Ruelas, 32 of the 1800 block of Cottonwood Drive, Central Point. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Ruelas Thursday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine, manufacturing, delivering and possessing cocaine, manufacturing and delivering cocaine and meth within 1,000 feet of a school, and for felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was held in jail Thursday on more than $2 million bail.

Rape — Derek Michael Stout, 25, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Stout Thursday on felony charges of first-degree rape, first- and second-degree sexual abuse and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration. He was held in jail Thursday on more than $1 million bail.

Robbery — Kiandra Jajuan Woodard, 22, of Fort Worth, Texas. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Woodard Thursday on felony warrants charging him with first- and second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, coercion and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was held in jail Thursday on $1 million bail.

Aggravated ID Theft — Samantha Autumn Martin-Horton, 25, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Martin-Horton Thursday on felony warrants charging her with aggravated identity theft, first-degree criminal mistreatment, first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief. She was held in jail Thursday on $12,500 bail.

Drugs — Fred Elmer Short IV, 53, no known address. Medford police arrested Short Thursday on felony warrants charging him with manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. He was held in jail Thursday on $47,500 bail.


Crime report

Fraud — 1500 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of $17,500 worth of fraudulent charges and withdrawals at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday.

Theft — 400 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen metallic blue Magna 21-speed mountain bike at 12:04 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $250.

Vandalism — 1500 block of Prune Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of blue graffiti on a business wall at 6:50 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $100.
