Felony arrests

Forgery — Christopher Robert Agudo Socia, 27, of the 600 block of Beatty Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Socia Friday on additional felony charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree possessing a forged instrument and first-degree theft, and on new misdemeanor counts of attempted first-degree theft and attempted first-degree forgery. Medford police originally arrested Socia Jan. 29 on warrants for felon in possession of a firearm, failing to appear in court on a previous heroin delivery charge and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree theft conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Christopher Robert Stoeckel, 36, of the 2500 block of Widow Road, Medford. Jacksonville police and Medford police arrested Stoeckel Thursday on a felony warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing methamphetamine and misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing meth. He remained held in jail Friday on $40,000 bail.

Weapons — Kurt Arthur Petersen, 35, of Cypress, Texas. Central Point police arrested Petersen Friday on a felony charge of altering or obliterating an identification on a firearm, and on a misdemeanor count of concealed possession of a firearm. He was booked in the jail and released Friday after posting bail.

Elude — Matthew Michael Andress, 34, of the 2600 block of Cliffrose Court, Medford. Phoenix police arrested Andress Friday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully possessing meth and for violating his probation on a prior meth possession conviction. He was held in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Jerome Patrick Aguirre, 47, of the First block of East South Stage Road, Medford. On Friday, Aguirre made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Burglary — Ryan Shay Gilbert, 29, of the 500 Western Avenue, Medford. On Friday, Gilbert made his initial court appearance on a felony count of second-degree burglary and a misdemeanor count of second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Robbery — Caleb Ray Hutchinson, 30, of the 3400 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. On Friday, Hutchinson made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of third-degree robbery and misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Rose Elena Lopez, 37, of Woodburn. On Friday, Lopez made her initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Weapons — Larry Joe Sullivan, 60, of the 2800 block of Alta Vista Road, Eagle Point. On Friday, Sullivan made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm and concealed possession of a firearm. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Attempted Murder — Kyla Kathleen Duncan, 49, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Duncan Friday on two felony counts of attempted murder. She was held in jail Friday on $200,000 bail.


Crime reports

Vandalism — 100 block of Portland Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a home at 11:10 a.m. Thursday. Damage to a back door was valued at $650.

Theft — 700 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen laptop at 11:43 a.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $350.

Theft — 2100 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen outdoor firepit at 1:11 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $250.

Vandalism — 2100 block of Roberts Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Damage to a vehicle’s side and windshield was valued at $200.

Burglary — 800 block of Lawnsdale Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary at 2:33 p.m. Items reported stolen included 6 pounds of gold coins, an SKS semiautomatic rifle with wood stock and a Savage 9 mm bolt-action hunting rifle with scope. The loss was valued at $126,760.

Theft — 5600 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen white gold ring with large and small diamonds at 4:06 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $4,800.

Theft — 1100 block of Peachwood Court, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen iPad Pros at 5:06 p.m. Thursday. The loss, consisting of a 12.9-inch iPad and an 11-inch iPad, were valued at $1,650.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 6:24 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a Dell Latitude laptop, two prescription sunglasses, two e-cigarettes, a third-generation iPad and prescription medication. The loss was valued at $1,160.

Theft — 1800 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen small camp barbecue and camp-size propane tanks at 8:35 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $208.

Burglary — 900 block of Kenyon Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a burglary at 8:55 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a brown mountain bike, a laptop, mens clothing and a blue and white mountain bike. The loss was valued at $1,400.

Vandalism — 800 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to 20 garden plants at 12:09 p.m. Friday. The damage was valued at $300.

Theft — 200 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen pay-as-you-go phone taken from a vehicle at 12:21 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $200.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen vehicle key fob at 2:11 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $550.
