Felony arrests

ID Theft — John Fitzgerald Riddle, 40, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Riddle Monday on a felony charge of identity theft and misdemeanor charges of second-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Body Armor — Christopher Robert Agudo Socia, 27, of the 2000 block of Mt Pitt Road, Medford. Central Point police arrested Socia Monday on a felony warrant charging him with felon in possession of body armor and a misdemeanor charge of possessing methamphetamine. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Elude — John Earl Gray, 35, of the first block of North Orange Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Gray Tuesday on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and interfering with police. He was additionally charged Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin, possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of tampering with evidence and interfering with police. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $37,500 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Bryce Daniel Lawson, 26, of the 3500 block of Chicory Lane, Central Point. Medford police arrested Lawson Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of initiating a false report. He was additionally charged Tuesday in court with a misdemeanor contempt of court charge. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $12,500 bail.

Drugs — Derek Whitfield Gargus, 33, of the 100 block of Huntley Lane, Phoenix. On Tuesday, Gargus made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing heroin and on misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended or revoked. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Joshua Lee Brewer, 30, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. On Tuesday, Brewer made his initial court appearance on felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Mandron Alfred Coulter, 41, no known address. Medford police arrested Coulter Tuesday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, and on an out-of-county warrant for violating his parole on a prior vehicle theft conviction. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

ID Theft — Richard Wallace Carlyle II, 37, no known address. Medford police arrested Carlyle Tuesday on a felony charge of identity theft, misdemeanor charges of theft of lost or mislaid property and providing false information, on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing methamphetamine and first-degree trespassing, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior conviction for first-degree possessing a forged instrument. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Attempted Burglary — David Wayne Culp, 56, of the 500 block of J Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Culp Tuesday on a felony charge of attempted first-degree burglary and on misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, first-degree trespassing and resisting arrest. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $7,500 bail.

Burglary — Christopher A. Hendrix, 33, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hendrix Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with second-degree burglary and identity theft, and on misdemeanor warrants charging him with second-degree theft. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $35,000 bail.

Drugs — Peter John Calhoun, 38, of the 1100 block of Dahlia Terrace, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Calhoun Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin, a misdemeanor warrant for unlawfully possessing a marijuana item and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of delivering and possessing methamphetamine, possessing heroin, second-degree theft and first-degree trespassing. He remained held in jail Wednesday on $40,000 bail.

Drugs — Jersy Carlos Menendez, 21, of the 600 block of North Columbus Avenue, Medford. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Menendez Tuesday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing cocaine, manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, and on misdemeanor charges of concealed possession of a weapon and second-degree possessing of a forged instrument. He was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Brooks Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on misdemeanor warrants charging him with possessing methamphetamine and second-degree theft. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Drugs — Kathlyn Alexandra Bucholz-Fomin, 31, of the 500 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Bucholz-Fomin Tuesday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and for violating her parole on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. She remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Drugs — John Joseph Galaviz, 32, of the 100 block of Eagle View Drive, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Galaviz Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, tampering with evidence and driving while suspended, and for violating his parole on a prior attempted weapon use conviction. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Drugs — Joshua Wayne Rosecrans, 37, of the 2600 block of Falcon Street, White City. Eagle Point police arrested Rosecrans Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was held in jail Wednesday on $7,500 bail.

Mail Theft — Michael Christopher Harrell, 47, of the 1200 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies and Jackson County Community Justice probation officers arrested Harrell Wednesday on felony charges of mail theft and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was held in jail Wednesday without bail.

ID Theft — Oscar Abrum Gomez, 37, of the 1400 block of Avocado Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Gomez Wednesday on two felony counts of identity theft and on misdemeanor charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday.

Criminal Mischief — Richard Allen Henderson, 62, of the 8400 block of Highway 62, White City. Veterans Affairs police arrested Hendrson Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree criminal mischief and on misdemeanor warrants charging him with recklessly endangering another person and second-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday.

Rape — Alexis Marie Gibbs, 19, no known address. Medford police arrested Gibbs Wednesday on felony charges of third-degree rape, second-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sodomy. She was held in jail Wednesday on $22,500 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Ira Dean Carney, 59, no known address. Medford police arrested Carney Wednesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his probation on prior convictions for conspiring to commit second-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing methamphetamine. He was held in jail Wednesday on $57,500 bail.

Drugs — Amanda Lynn Sweet, 32, of the 400 block of Coral Circle, Phoenix. On Wednesday, Sweet made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

Sex Offender — James Lee Goodell, 46, no known address. Medford police arrested Goodell Wednesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior heroin possession conviction. He was held in jail Wednesday without bail.


Crime report

Theft — 1500 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included an Escort radar detector, an orange USB-powered flashlight and brown leather Eddie Bauer gloves. The loss was valued at $580.

Burglary — First block of South Keene Way Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included four Black Hills gold rings, a gold and diamond ring and a pair of gold and diamond earrings. The loss was valued at $22,500.

Theft — 600 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a basket with car tie-down strips and bungee cords. The loss and damage to a driver-side wing window was valued at $450.

Theft — First block of South Orange Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday. A tan shopping bag containing baby wipes was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $5.

Theft — 1500 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Cannondale road bike at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $600.
