Felony arrests

Drugs — Frederick Charles West, 41, no known address. Central Point police arrested West Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on misdemeanor charges of second-degree trespassing and providing false information to police, and for violating his parole on a prior vehicle theft conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Nathan Patrick Smith, 28, of the 2300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Smith Saturday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possessing methamphetamine and supplying contraband, misdemeanor charges of providing false information to police and third-degree theft, and on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear in court on prior charges of meth possession, heroin possession, second-degree theft and first-degree trespassing. He was held in jail Saturday on $105,000 bail.

Robbery — Sergio Alfredo Serafin, 27, of the 7800 block of Hale Way, White City. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Serafin Saturday on felony charges of third-degree robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence. He was held in Jail Saturday on $22,500 bail.

Sexual Abuse — Donald Phillip Carling, 29, of the 700 block of North Church Street, Phoenix. Talent police arrested Carling Saturday on felony charges including counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of attempted first-degree sexual abuse. He was held in jail Saturday on more than $1 million.

Theft — Robert David Bixler, 36, of the 12300 block of Highway 234, Gold Hill. Medford police arrested Bixler Saturday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree theft. He was held in jail Saturday on $7,500 bail.

Marijuana — David Jonathan Smith, 36, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Saturday on felony charges of unlawfully delivering and possessing marijuana, and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 3100 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen sixth generation iPad with blue keyboard case at 2:10 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $400.

Theft — 1000 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a Resmed CPAP machine, a Sony PlayStation 4 console, a backpack and clothing. The loss was valued at $700.

Theft — 2300 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone at 9:02 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $900.

Theft — 800 block of Tannin Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen tools at 7:52 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included an eight-piece 20-volt Craftsman cordless tool set and a Skilsaw. The loss was valued at $2,149.

Theft — 800 block of South Central Avenue, medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 8:58 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a Samsung tablet, Verizon flip phone, miscellaneous clothes, a dark green backpack and a bank card. The loss was valued at $225.

Theft — 1500 block of Cunningham Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Eastman flute at noon Friday. The loss was valued at $820.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen carbon fiber racing bicycle frame at 3:47 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $2,000.
