Felony arrests

Drugs — Carl George Sullivant, 45, no known address. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Sullivant Friday on additional felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. MADGE officers originally arrested Sullivant Thursday for violating his parole on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He remained held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday without bail.

Drugs — Kaelyn Daischielle Young, 21, of the 800 block of Ridgeview Drive, Eagle Point. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Young Friday on additional felony charges of manufacturing and delivering heroin and supplying contraband, and additional misdemeanor counts of tampering with evidence and resisting arrest. MADGE officers originally arrested young Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, and she was later charged Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court with first-degree theft. She remained lodged in jail Saturday on $77,500 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Kyle Evan Carson, 30, of the 2900 block of Fairweather Drive. Medford police arrested Carson Saturday with two additional felony counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies originally arrested Carson Thursday on a felony charge of attempt to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, impaired driving, attempt to elude police on foot and for violating his parole on a prior assault on a police officer conviction. He remained held in jail Saturday without bail.

Sex Offender — Alan Anthony Cooke, 54, of Arcata, California. Medford police arrested Cooke Friday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday.

Assault — Alfred Lee Walker Jr., 53, no known address. Medford police arrested Walker Friday on a felony charge of second-degree assault, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, harassment, possessing methamphetamine and resisting arrest. He remained held in jail Saturday on $117,500 bail.

Drugs — Cindi Jo Brewer, 55, no known address. Medford police arrested Brewer Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. She was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday on her own recognizance.

Assault — Jesse Wayne Wigley, 36, of the 1400 block of Dakota Avenue, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Wigley Saturday on felony charges of second-degree assault and strangulation constituting domestic violence, and misdemeanor charges of harassment and interfering with police. He remained held in jail Saturday on $125,000 bail.

Assault — Stevie R. Payne Jr. 21, of Montegue, California. Jakcson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Payne Saturday on felony counts of fourth-degree assault witnessed by a minor and coercion, along with misdemeanor charges of strangulation and harassment. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $22,500 bail.

Drugs — David Sargent Hopkins, 47, of Berkeley, California. Medford police arrested Hopkins Saturday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $17,500 bail.


Crime reports

Theft — 2100 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 4:46 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a gray Kicker 12-inch subwoofer and a Coast serrated knife. The loss was valued at $330.

Theft — 300 block of Holmes Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 5:08 p.m. Friday. A purse and wallet were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $650.

Theft — 200 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen black Novara cruiser bike with rear rack at 11:34 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $2,300.

Theft — 2200 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen purse at 11:35 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $150.

Theft — 300 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 5:49 a.m. Saturday. Items reported stolen included a Ruger SR40 in buckskin holster and wallet containing credit cards. The loss was valued at $400.

Vandalism — 500 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle and fuel theft at 10:12 a.m. Saturday. The loss and damage to the vehicle’s fuel tank was valued at $380.
