Felony arrests

Drugs — John Earl Gray, 35, of the first block of North Orange Street, Medford. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Gray Wednesday on additional felony charges of manufacturing and delivering heroin and possessing methamphetamine. MADGE originally arrested Gray Oct. 2 on felony counts of delivering and possessing meth, possessing heroin, and on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrested and possessing meth. He remained held in jail Wednesday on more than $1 million bail.

Drugs — Benjamin Joseph Strusz, 33, of the 9400 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Strusz Tuesday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering an possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his probation on a prior heroin possession conviction. He was additionally charged in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday with a misdemeanor charge of possessing more than 4 ounces of marijuana. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Child Pornography — Evon Devon Hascall, 24, no known address. Medford police arrested Hascall Tuesday on felony charges of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, second- and third-degree rape, second-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sodomy. He remained held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Altering Weapon ID — Ian Thomas Delong, 20, of the 100 block of South Seventh Street, Central Point. Phoenix police arrested Delong Wednesday on a felony charge of altering or obliterating a firearm ID number and a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully possessing a firearm. He was held in jail Wednesday on $10,000 bail.

Elude — Jared Lee Swindell, 29, of the 4100 block of Grant Road, Central Point. Talent police and Medford police arrested Swindell Wednesday on felony counts of attempt to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a prior elude charge. He was held in jail Wednesday without bail.

Weapon Use — Richard Lee Hurst, 70, of the 3600 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hurst Wednesday on a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was held in jail Wednesday on $17,500 bail.

Public Indecency — William Keith Maude, 61, of the 1900 block of Homeview Drive, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Maude Wednesday on a felony charge of public indecency. He was held in jail Wednesday on $7,500 bail.


Crime reports

Vandalism — 300 block of Lowry Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a business at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday. Damage to a door vent to gain entry was valued at $200.

Vandalism — Delta Waters Road and Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to an electrical box spray painted “dank” at 1:24 p.m. Wednesday. The damage was valued at $100.

Burglary — 1400 block of Thomas Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 6:01 p.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included an emerald ring, two boxes of agate, quartz and mineral stones, miscellaneous paperwork and a brown suitcase with silver hinges. The loss was valued at $730.

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen red Novara bike with rain guards and rack at 9:23 p.m. Tuesday. The damage was valued at $1,119.
