Felony arrests

Drugs — Pedro Gartin Orosco, 19, of the 2300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Central Point police arrested Orsoco Tuesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday on $50,000 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Veronica Marie Moore, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Moore Tuesday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and possessing burglary tools, and on a sanction for violating her probation on a prior felon in possession of a restricted weapon conviction.  She was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Kenneth Duane Vinzant Jr., 35, of the 2500 block of Lausanne Circle, Medford. Medford police arrested Vinzant Tuesday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing burglary tools, and for violating his parole on a prior heroin-possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Criminal Mischief — Joseph Dean Brown, 56, of Spanaway, Washington. On Tuesday, Brown made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree disorderly conduct. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Officer Assault — Asley Lynn Dumont, 20, no known address. Ashland police arrested Dumont Tuesday on two felony counts of assaulting a public safety officer, and on misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with police, resisting arrest, second-degree trespassing and attempting to assault a police officer. She was lodged in jail Tuesday on $40,000 bail.

Drugs — Jared Lee Swindell, 28, of the 4200 block of Grant Road, Central Point. Medford police arrested Swindell Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a detainer for violating his probation on a prior attempt to elude police in a vehicle conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 600 block of Wabash Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen white and black Specialized Rock Hopper mountain bike at 6:36 a.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $750.

Theft — 1400 block of Morrow Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 10:15 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a briefcase and 12-step program paperwork. The loss and damage to the vehicle rear window was valued at $151.

Vandalism — 1500 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism and stolen mail at 11:19 a.m. Monday. The damage was valued at $750.

Vandalism — 900 block of West 10th Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a heat pump at 12:06 p.m. Monday. Copper pipes valued at $100 were reported stolen, and the damage to the unit was valued at $3,000.

Theft — 1100 block of Tabby Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a building at 1:49 p.m. Monday. A blue Kramer Nite-V guitar, a white Kramer guitar and an Epiphone guitar were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $2,100.

Theft — 4100 block of Tamarack Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a building at 5:39 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included an Apple TV set-top box, pearl gun grips and other gun supplies, guns and a Rolex watch. The loss was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 1900 block of Crestbrook Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 8:16 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a small Canon digital camera and a black hoverboard. The loss was valued at $600.

Vandalism — 2100 block of Harrison Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle body at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday. The damage was valued at $800.

Vandalism — 1900 block of North Keene Way Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a baseball dugout and spray paint vandalism to a school van. The damage was valued at $500.
