Felony arrests

Strangulation — Emillio Alfonso Rojelio Sims, 27, of the 800 block of Narregan Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Sims Friday on felony charges of strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion and possessing heroin, and on a misdemeanor count of interfering with police. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $37,500 bail.

Drugs — Levi Michael Jonathan Wear, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested Wear Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his parole on a prior meth-possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Elude — John Rocha, 24, of the 3400 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Rocha Saturday on a felony count of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a prior driving under the influence of intoxicants charge and for failing to report to jail on a previous conviction for endangering a person protected under the Family Abuse Prevention Act. He remained lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Drugs — Dexter Dee Williams Jr., 41, of the 500 block of Mace Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Williams Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous meth-possession charge. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $15,000 bail.

Assault — Casey Bryce McGowan, 25, of the 500 block of Barnum Drive, Phoenix. Phoenix police arrested McGowan Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor counts of harassment and third-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $12,500 bail.

Assault — Victor Manuel Moncada-Perez, 35, no known address. Central Point police arrested Moncada-Perez Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault witnessed by a minor. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $7,500 bail.

Elude — John Matthew Thompson, 41, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies and Oregon State Police troopers arrested Thompson Saturday on multiple felony counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, on misdemeanor counts of attempting to elude police on foot, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person and driving while suspended, and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on prior charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, attempting to elude police on foot, reckless endangering and reckless driving. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $52,500 bail.

Assault — Russell Danilovich Konkin, 31, no known address. Medford police arrested Konkin Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor count of harassment and for violating his probation on a prior second-degree burglary conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.
