Deputies find pot, guns on search

Sheriff's deputies seized 10 pounds of marijuana, 200 plants and several firearms during a search of a home in the 7700 block of Griffin Creek Road in Medford.

A suspect, Jay David Rifkind, is wanted for questioning and could face several felony charges as a result of the search. The 38-year-old man is considered dangerous, according to sheriff's deputies, and is believed to be in possession of a semi-automatic handgun.

Rifkind is described as 6 feet, 1-inch tall, weighing 170 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Rifkind has an outstanding felony warrant from California.

The Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team and sheriff's patrol deputies began the search at noon on Saturday.
