Lauren Christine Thomas and Justin Sloan Yoshida were married Aug. 22 at Mission San Juan Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. The Rev. Monsignor Arthur Holquin officated.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Julie Thomas of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. A 2000 graduate of Santa Margarita Catholic High School, she received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from Loyola Marymount University. She is an event planner/development office at the Los Angeles Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.

The groom is the son of Robert and Lynnette Yoshida of Medford. A 1995 graduate of North Medford High School, he received a bachelor's degree in 2000 from Oregon State University in Corvallis. He received a master's degree in 2004 from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is an aerospace engineer with The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, Calif.

Maid of honor was the groom's sister, Jaclyn Aiko Benge of Portland. Bridesmaids were Frava Burgess of Oak Park, Ill., Kristina Wangard of Los Gatos, Calif., Lindsay Cooper of Los Angeles, Cara Krenn of Cardiff by the Sea, Calif., Jennifer McDonald of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Noelle Barnett of Newport Beach, Calif.

Best man was the bride's brother, Andrew Paul Thomas of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Groomsmen were Kirk Sullivan of Medford, Kjell Sullivan of Central Point, Christopher Brotherton of Albuquerque, N.M., the bride's brother, Kyle Thomas of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Robert Braden of Boston, and the groom's cousin, Jonathan Rowell of Pasadena, Calif. Ushers were Bounmy Inthavong of Seattle, Gary Cheng of Covina, Calif., and the groom's cousin, Noah Marsh of Carlsbad, Calif.

Flower girl was the groom's first cousin, Madison Pehkonen of Perris, Calif.

Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, Nathan Chang of Los Angeles.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at Cannons Seafood Grill in Dana Point, Calif.

After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the newlyweds are living in Redondo Beach, Calif.
