Megan Hinkle and Jason Stangland were married Aug. 8 at Bethel Church in Medford. Pastor Alex Esquerra officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Curtis and Candace Hinkle of Medford. A 2001 graduate of North Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in social work in 2005 from George Fox University. She is an instructional assistant with Oregon City Public Schools in Oregon City.

The groom is the son of Michael Stangland of Duluth, Minn., and Terri Erickson of Swatara, Minn. A 1999 graduate of Grand Rapids High School, he received a degree in fluid power in 2001 from Alexandria Technical College. He is a hydraulic technician with Halton Company in Portland.

Matron of honor was Katie Tussing of Newberg. Bridesmaids were Sara Rench of Medford and Rachael Overall of Springfield.

Best man was the groom's father, Michael Stangland of Duluth, Minn. Groomsmen were Josh Villebro of Hill City, Minn., and the groom's brother, Jake Erickson of Swatara, Minn. Ushers were the bride's brothers, Travis and Jared Hinkle.

The flower girl was the bride's niece, Anna Hinkle

After a wedding trip to Hyatt Lake and the Oregon Coast, the newlyweds are living in Portland.
