Summer Hardey and Bill Whitlatch were married in a private ceremony on Sept. 10, 2011, at the home of the bride's parents, John and Vicki Hardey of Central Point.

The bride graduated from Crater High School in 1996. After graduation, she was employed as a traffic engineer at Hardey Engineering & Associates, which did city engineering work for the city of Eagle Point. The groom graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1985. After attending Southern Oregon State College, he served in the U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Texas, and Panama. He has owned B&B Landscaping and Construction in Eagle Point since 1995.

The ceremony was conducted by the bride's brother, Travis Hardey of Creekside Christian Center. The bride's niece and nephew, Lucy and Emmett Hardey, served as flower girl and ring bearer.

Special guests were the groom's aunt and uncle, Ed and Deone King (Raco) and family, from Fresno, Calif.

Following the wedding ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at Antonio's Restaurant in Eagle Point.

The newlyweds are at home in Central Point and are planning a honeymoon later this year.
