Laura Bowers and Christopher Moriarity were married Sept. 28, 2007, in Minneapolis. Pastor Church of the Christian Community Church officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Toni Bowers of Central Point. She is a 1999 graduate of Crater High School in Central Point. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon in 2004, and a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006. She is the child and youth services regional coordinator for SERCO in Minneapolis.

The groom is the son of Pat and Peggy Moriarity of Pella, Iowa. A 1999 graduate of Pella High School in Pella, Iowa, he received a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006. He is the client and marketing services coordinator with LSS Data Systems in Minnetonka, Minn.

Maid of honor was Holly Westphal of Portland. Bridesmaids were Annarose Salvador of Lake Tahoe, Nev., Laura Poppen of Minneapolis, Jennifer Kennedy of Waterloo, Iowa, the bride's sister-in-law, Cory Bowers of Albany, and the groom's sister, Emily Moriarity of Ames, Iowa.

Best man was Cameron Keske of Minneapolis. Groomsmen were the bride's brothers, John Bowers of Eugene and Bob Bowers of Albany; and Jayme Rosendahl of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Ushers were Curtis Lehmkul of Chicago, and Martin Mauer of Minneapolis.

Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, James Bowers of Albany.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Minnesota History Center.

After a Caribbean cruise, the newlyweds are living in Eden Prairie, Minn.
