Bob and Linda Turner celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently at Hualalai on the big island of Hawaii. The couple was married on March 25, 1966, in Medford and spent their first years in Eugene where Bob obtained his degree from the University of Oregon in 1968. Three years of army life followed before they settled in Klamath Falls in 1971.
For the next 41 years Bob worked for JELD-WEN and retired as Chairman of the Board in 2012. Linda spent many years on the board of Sky Lakes Medical Center and was an active leader in numerous civic organizations, non-profits, education and philanthropic endeavors.
The couple is blessed with two sons, Chad and Craig Turner, who along with their spouses Jennifer and Carrie, and their children Mattison, Makena, Haley, Cassidy and Ryan Turner, helped the couple in a pre-celebration in Kauai over the Christmas holidays.
Bob and Linda now reside in Gold Hill where they first met in 1953.
