Paul and Cherie Kangas of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 11, 2015, with a dinner party catered by Capers at Sacred Heart Church.
The party was hosted by their daughter, Triesta Ashenfelter, and her family. Approximately 75 people attended the celebration. Four of the original wedding party attended: John Kwiatkowski (best man) of Powell, Wyo.; and cousins of the bride Susan Herion of Hayden, Idaho; Marilyn Sotelo of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Dan Bickelhaupt from Dayton, Wash.
On July 10, 1965, Paul Robert Kangas married Cherie Sue Ingram at Saint Francis Cathedral in Baker. The couple have one daughter, Triesta Ashenfelter of Hillsboro. They have three grandchildren: Garrett, age 13, and twins Pierce and Lawson, age 9.
