On The Web

The Outdoors Online

If you need a wildlife photo for a school report, the Web can be a nice resource. But sometimes (often, in fact) the info you find online is questionable — like when you find a photo labeled "brown bear" which actually shows a brown black bear. Teachers hate that. If proper identification is important, start with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's online digital media library (http://images.fws.gov). The electronic library system contains the National Image Library — the Fish and Wildlife Service's collection of public domain still photos.
