The Rev. Guest musician Bridget Wolf will use a Native American drum during her presentation. She encourages all in the congregation to bring drums to participate.

Following the service will be a class and healing circle of drumming. Cost is a $10 suggested donation.

Buddhist meditation center Kagyu Sukha Chöling will hold a Newcomers' Night at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at 109 Clear Creek Drive, Ashland. Calm abiding meditation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by an introduction to Buddhism and the programs at the center.

Rev. Ruth Kirby of the Center for Spiritual Living, Ashland, will lead a workshop on transforming confusion and depression using affirmative-style prayer, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Headwaters Building, 84 Fourth St., Ashland.
