ASHLAND — The Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will clebrate the summer solstice in a service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 26, at the fellowship, 87 Fourth St.

Attendees are invited to wear sun-colored clothing, bring a sun-colored flower (vases will be provided in the foyer) or bring a percussion instrument.

The Medford Unitarian Universalists will gather from 4-5:15 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the Red Cross Building, 60 Hawthorne St. Dr. Ruth L. Miller will present "Rediscovering Emerson."

Miller's newest book, "Natural Abundance," is a synthesis of the ideas put forward in the essays of Ralph Waldo Emerson, 19th-century author, transcendentalist, philosopher and Unitarian minister. Miller has degrees in anthropology, environmental science, cybernetics and systems sciences. She is an ordained New Thought minister.

EAGLE POINT — "Kickin' It Old School" is the theme of the 2011 Vacation Bible School at Eagle Point Community Bible Church. Children in preschool through fifth grade are welcome to attend from 6-8:10 p.m. July 11-15 at the church, 27 S. Shasta Ave., near Main Street and across from the new Ed Dahack bridge.

Kickin' It Old School features music and video from the popular Go Fish Guys. Most of the music is based on classic hymns and choruses, done in the definitive Go Fish style.

In addition to the music, there will be games, crafts, snacks, skits, stories and other surprises. Admission is free.

Registration tables open at 5:30 p.m. the week of July 11 for those who want to register at the door. Forms also are available on Sunday mornings or at the church office weekday afternoons.
