Norman and Eva Roberts of Medford will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception at Heritage Christian Center in Medford.

Norman Roberts married Eva Hicks on Feb. 23, 1946, in Lake Village, Ark. They are loved and honored by four children — Barbara McDonald of Central Point; Ann (and Les) McDonald of Vancouver Wash.; Eve (and Steve) of Bend; and Norman (and Kristina) Roberts of Chico, Calif. — seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Norman and Eva have spent their adult lives in ministry, singing and cooking for shut-ins and those who are sick, ministering in parks, opening up their home to those in need, bringing pastors together to remove the walls of denominations, seeing the lost come to know Jesus, singing at nursing homes and holding weekly prayer and Acts 1:8 meetings in their home. Their life has been devoted to "loving people, helping others, letting others know about Jesus, and being an example for their family and friends."

They moved from Arkansas in 1947 to Little Valley, Calif., where Norman worked as a timber faller and in sawmills. In 1963, they moved to Chico, Calif., and began work in evangelistic and singing ministries. Medford has been their home since 1991.

They continue ministering to others by extending love, hope, faith, joy and encouragement to all they meet. They have long-term friendships no matter where they reside or travel. Family and friends are at the very heart of their life together, and they are loved by many.
