Leon Stansfield and Elizabeth Ann Goodson were married June 11, 1966, at the Ashland Christian Center (Assembly of God) in Ashland.
Leon graduated from Medford High School in 1956, and Elizabeth graduated from Glendale High School in 1961. Both graduated from Southern Oregon College and the University of Oregon. Elizabeth worked as an elementary school teacher and was a homemaker. Leon was a teacher and school administrator.
During their careers in education, they worked in the states of Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, Colorado and Maryland. Elizabeth retired from teaching in 2013 from Stockton, Calif., to move to Grants Pass with her husband, who had retired earlier. She soon began substitute teaching through Southern Oregon Education Service District for several local school districts as well as mentoring new teachers for Medford School District. Leon publishes and markets school curriculum via the Internet.
Leon and Elizabeth have two children; Laura Nell Stansfield, of Seoul, Korea; and Craig Stansfield (Coreen Anderson Stansfield) of Roseburg.
An open-house reception will be held at the couple's home from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016.
