Don and Sue Davidson of Central Point celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a barbecue and reception hosted by the couple's two sons and their daughters-in-law, Darren and Tammie Davidson of Medford and Jim and Tammy Davidson of White City, on July 3, 2015, at Medford Friends Church.
Donald Davidson married Suzann Hall on July 3, 1965 at Medford Friends Church. In addition to their two sons, they have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They moved to Coos Bay in 1966, and lived there until 1983. While on the coast they spent their spare time hunting, fishing and rock hounding around the western US. They moved back to the Rogue Valley, living in Gold Hill briefly before settling in Central Point, where they currently live.
Don worked for Safeway for close to 40 years in North Bend, and retired from the Ashland store. Sue worked for the Coos Bay School District, Central Point School District 6, and later worked as a bookkeeper at Mick's Ale House, Fronek's Seafood and the Manor before retiring.
In retirement, the couple enjoy their family, gardening, camping, fishing, hunting and their friends at New Beginnings Church in White City. Both are voracious readers and enjoy visiting the library and local bookstores.
