Adopt a Pet

AGE: A little bit shy, a little bit silly and a whole lot of cute, I am all that and then some! My name is Oreo, and I am about 2 years old. I'm friendly and outgoing, just a little shy of being fussed with by people I don't know. However, if you are polite and respectful of me, my heart will be yours in no time.

PERSONALITY: During my stay at the shelter, I have been in several play groups, where I do best with calm, social dogs. I love playing with toys and can have a hard time sharing them with people and other dogs. Therefore, I will do best with an owner who will work with me so that I learn it is OK to have my toys taken away. Because of my resource-guarding impulses, I would do best in a home with tolerant dogs and experienced, adult owners.

HIGHLIGHTS: I take treats gently and know how to sit. I've been told I am a diamond in the rough; let's work together and learn some new tricks and better manners.

AVAILABLE: At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week.

COST: Oreo’s adoption fee is $95, and includes a free in-home training and a wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Oreo is neutered.
