Software company to donate copies of program

A Eugene software developer is providing a one-day Oregon small business boost by giving away copies of its business-planning program.

Palo Alto Software will give away access to its Business Plan Pro Premier software, which retails for $199.95, throughout the state at small-business-development and chamber of commerce offices on July 1.

Oregon residents 18 and older are eligible to receive the software, which helps entrepreneurs start, run and expand their businesses by using local services, programs and other tools.

The pick-up sites in the Rogue Valley are:

  • RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, Business Center, 101 S. Bartlett St., Medford.
  • Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc., 673 Market St., Medford.
  • Ashland Chamber of Commerce, 110 E. Main St., Ashland.

People who visit the sites will receive an access code to get the software online; the software must be installed and registered by 5 p.m. July 3, after which the code will expire.
