Erik Lewis has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Lithia Motors. Lewis assumes oversight of human resources from Executive Vice President Chris Holzshu, whose focus will shift to operations. Lewis most recently served as the CHRO of Apple Leisure Group in Pennsylvania and senior director of human resources for Walmart’s Asia operations. Before that, he was senior director for organizational development at Sysco Corp., in Houston. He also consulted for PwC in the Midwest and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Chicago.

Rogue Waste has appointed Jenifer Stuber general manager of Dry Creek Landfill. Most recently, Stuber managed Coffin Butte Landfill for Republic Services in Corvallis. Previously, she was post collections operations manager for Republic Services at the Ada County Landfill and two transfer stations in the Boise area. Before that, Stuber spent seven years with CH2M Hill in Boise as project engineer and manager, and five years with the Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service, where she designed wetland recovery and watershed protection programs. She earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Utah State University and a master’s in biosystems engineering from Michigan State University.

Father Joel Garavaglia Maiorano, Rogue Valley Manor’s director of spiritual care & well being, is the 2018 recipient of LeadingAge Oregon’s Caring Spirit Award. Maiorano was selected by the Oregon chapter of the nationwide senior services advocacy organization in recognition of his unique approach to and passion for the spiritual care and well being of the nearly 1,000 seniors he serves.

Matt Tartaglio of Eagle Point as been appointed administrator at the Pear Valley Senior Living campus in Central Point. Tartaglio was most recently administrator at the Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living Community in Grants Pass. Eugene-based Compass Senior Living will operate the community. Pear Valley is located at 800 N. Haskell Street and will feature 60 assisted-living apartments, and 24 memory care studios. The senior center is expected to open in November.
